What is Storytelling Family Photography?

I’d like to tell you what Storytelling Family Photography means for me and this photography business.

Scroll to the bottom of this post for my video explanation.

Personally, Storytelling Family Photography is about creating art from the everyday special aspects of your family. It is unfiltered, unposed, and raw. There is no posing assistance or outfit styling, just you. You and your family, no matter what that looks like. While I tend to market this to families with tiny humans, it is not bound to that box. Be you a plant mom, be surrounded by fur babies, or enjoying some quiet time with your favorite human. That is Storytelling Family Photography. It is about documenting your life, so that you never have to forget it. It is about finding the real and tangible joy that is present, even if your season is not what you dreamed it would be.

Storytelling Family Photography is telling the story of your family in a way that actually speaks to the heart of your family.

These sessions do not have to be a large production, in fact they shouldn’t be a production at all. Instead, these sessions are meant to capture the warmth, joy, and raw emotion of your real life. Even if your season is tiny humans having meltdowns, or hubs constantly tinkering with the sink, that is real life. Even if your season is not what you wanted it to be, even if there is hurt because of that. That is real. And it is what Storytelling Family Photography is there to capture. To wrap you in gratitude for the joy that is present in your season, even if. To show you what your season truly has to offer you, joy, tears, laughter, frustration, giggles, and snuggles all included.
