How does that statement make you feel? I know for some it can be a cause of relief and for others a cause for anxiety. I am here to put all those uneasy feeling to rest. When you have a session styled by me, your style does not get pushed to the wayside. Your style becomes the foundation for your styled session! After all, your style should show the authentic love and connection at the core of your family. I truly hope this helps put you at ease.

Are you wondering what steps are involved in styling your family session?

Step One: Questionnaire

When you book your next Family Session with Bubble Fish Photography (see that process here) you get a questionnaire to fill out after your agreement is signed. This questionnaire is emailed to you and covers so many details for your session, including styling. In this step you can tell me more about the style of your family and what you love most about that style. We will also talk about the style of your home, that way the heirloom artwork we create is cohesive for the look of your home.

Step Two: Consultations

Styling Consultations are truly just like phone conversations or texting a friend. We talk more in depth about the look you are wanting for your family photos. We talk color schemes, and I even send you photos of ideas. I send you photos of pieces I have in my client closet available to use. And you send me images of pieces you already own for us to use. These consultations help us to use what we already have between us before heading out to purchase more. Then we head into step three.

Step Three: Style Board

After our chats and determining the look of your family session, I create a style board for your session. This will include images of everyone’s outfits, the color scheme, as well as link(s) for anything that needs to be purchased. All in one board you will see every piece that I will be bringing to your session, every piece you need to bring from your closets, and any pieces that you need to purchase before the session. This helps us stay on the same page for the style of your family session. From here, the only thing left is to have your family session.
